Gian Sagar Educational & Charitable Trust (GSECT) has been created by Sh. Harvinder Singh Bhangoo in the sweet memory of Sh. Gurdial Singh Bhangoo. The trust aims to develop a nucleus that will impart quality education in various medical, technical and other vocational disciplines to meet the increasing needs of new millennium. The trust is focusing on providing medical and educational facilities to the downtrodden strata of society with particular focus on womenfolk of the region. The trust strives to identify, educate, and nurture the talent of young boys and girls required in the dynamic and highly competitive world.
The trust has already started Gian Sagar Medical College, Gian Sagar Dental College, Gian Sagar College of Nursing, Gian Sagar College of Physiotherapy and Gian Sagar College of Paramedical Sciences. The courses being offered by Gian Sagar group of Institutions are: M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.Sc. (Nursing), Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM), Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), B.Sc. (Medical Laboratory Technology), Diploma in Radiology & Imaging Technology (DRIT), Diploma in Operation Theatre Technology (DOTT) and Diploma in Medical & Laboratory Technology (DMLT). These courses are approved by Punjab Government, Govt. of India and various regulatory bodies including Punjab Nurses Registration Council (PNRC), Indian Nursing Council (INC), Medical Council of India (MCI), Dental Council of India (DCI), Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP), Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and Punjab Technical University, Jallandhar. Gian Sagar College of Pharmacy, Gian Sagar College of Clinical Research & Regulatory Affairs, Gian Sagar College of Hotel Management Catering and Tourism Technology and Gian Sagar Institution of Ayurvedic Sciences. We are committed to provide quality education and train the students in the area of their specialization in medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, medical & laboratory technology, dental technology, and other paramedical courses. The GSECT will put all its energy and resources for empowerment of rural and urban underprivileged section and women by starting vocational courses which will equip them with skills so that they earn a dignified livelihood.
