COMMENCEMENT  OF  M.P.T.  PROGRAM

Gian Sagar College of Physiotherapy, Ram Nagar, Banur, Distt. Patiala has been granted NOC/ Essentiality Certificate by Govt. of Punjab for starting MPT Program and it has become the first Physiotherapy College in the State of Punjab under Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot which has been granted affiliation for M.P.T. program vide its letter No. 06(BFUHS_DEO5_MPT1)09/27371 dated 13.10.2009 in the following four specialties having a total of 11 seats w.e.f. session 2009-10:

i)  Sports ii) Orthopaedics iii) Neurology and iv) Paediatrics

Gian Sagar College of Physiotherapy has already been granted approval by the Government of Punjab for 50 seats in Bachelor of Physiotherapy. The college is recognised by The Indian Association of Physiotherapists (Member Body of World Confederation of Physical Therapy) vide Ref. No. 5581 dated: 19.02.2008. The college is affiliated with Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot vide letter No. BFUHS/ 2K7/Colleges/ 22388 dated 24.09.2007 and the admission for BPT course was held as per Punjab Govt. Notification No. 5/21/2008-3HB3/1955 Dated: 31-03-2008.

Gian Sagar College of Physiotherapy has been certified by ISO on parameters 9001-2008.

A separate building is available for Bachelor of Physiotherapy course. Well qualified and experienced team of faculty members is available. An exclusive OPD of Physiotherapy is functioning in the attached Hospital where on an average 50-70 patients are being given physiotherapy treatment daily. Specialised OPD’s of Ortho, Neuro, Cardio-pulmonary, Paediatrics and Sports Physiotherapy are working separately.  Fully functional Physiotherapy Labs in the College Building. Well stocked Library with latest subscription of International & National Physiotherapy Journals. Fully equipped Computer Lab with Internet Connectivity. Separate hostels for boys and girls with mess facility are available. Transport facility from the neighbouring towns is also available for staff as well as for students.
